Step 5 and 6 RTD Drug Test FAQ

Please reach us at returntodutynow@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Direct Observation must include a same gender observer’s check for  prosthetic and other devices that could be used to cheat a drug test.   This check is in addition to the observer’s subsequently watching the  employee urinate into the collection container.

The length of time drugs stay in your system depends on various factors such as the type of drug, the dose, the frequency of use, the individual's metabolism, and the type of test. Generally, drugs can be detected in urine for up to several days to a few weeks, in blood for up to a few days, in hair for up to several months, and in oral fluid/saliva for up to a few days.

The consequences of failing a Drug Test depend on the reason for testing. For example, failing a workplace Drug Test may result in termination of employment, while failing a sports Drug Test may result in suspension or disqualification from competition. Failing a Drug Test ordered by a healthcare provider may result in a referral to addiction treatment.
